8:00 am, Meet up at your hotel lobby (in Siem Reap)
8:30 am, We begin our ride to the outside of Siem Reap town. First, you’ll walk through and explore the outdoor market, where you will discover the local specialties and choose the best local snacks and fruits to try. Second, explore the pagoda in order to understand the Buddhist practice of the Khmer people, get a spiritual blessing from the monk, and listen to Khmer fortune-telling.
9:30 am, We will stop by local businesses along the way to learn about the local crafts and industries, such as rice noodle production and bamboo sticky rice cake (local taste – bamboo rice cake & Khmer noodle).
10:30 am, Continue our ride to the West Baray where the beautiful ancient reservoir awaits and get bottled water, coconut, and light refreshment.
11:30 am, You’ll have the opportunity to eat edible bugs such as worms, cricket, grasshopper, water bugs, etc.
From there, it’s a straight ride to the basket village where our guides will take you to see the handmade baskets and you will spend the next portion learning to make some sort of basket with local ladies.
Visit a traditional small-scale family business with techniques passed down from generation to generation for making rice wine.
12:30 pm, We will return back to Siem Reap town.
