8:00am meet your personal guide and driver and departure for a tour of the surrounding countryside and take an ox-cart ride through the villages and the rice fields. Board a private boat and visit Kompong Pluk village with its houses standing on stilts and board a pirogue to discover the seasonally flooded forest. Enjoy the natural splendor of the country during a cruise across the Tonle Sap Lake to the Village of Chhong Kneas. Visit the floating village and discover the centuries-old lifestyle of the inhabitants of the lake. Picnic lunch on the floating restaurant, then return to mainland of Chong Khneas where our driver is standby and waiting for you there.
Get back in the car, leave the port then you’ll stop at Wat Po Krum village, located near the river. Meander around this exotic hamlet, enjoy the peaceful scenery, chitchat with the villagers and laugh with the children at their school. Next, continue to our final destination, Wat Preah Prom Rath, boasts a history that may date back to the 13th century. However, everything to be seen here was built after World War II. The monks, from teenage to venerable old men, provides religious services and blessings, as well as counselling, then we participate in a private good luck blessing ceremony and wishing you good health and a safe journey, performed by local monks. Sit on the mat while the monks chant blessings and sprinkle holy water on you – a traditional way which is believed pass on the good luck of the gods. Afterwards, a sacred thread will be tied around your wrist. This will protect you from any evil spirits or accidents. After this memorable experience, we will transfer you back to hotel.
